‘Old Stumpy’ was released from a 200+ year old beech tree in Dunham park, Cheshire. Recent storms brought down a lot of old trees on the Dunham estate of the National Trust. There are already many ecology wood piles and the wood from this tree would have been burned or left to rot.
So ‘Old Stumpy’ was created and will hopefully be in the Park for many years to come. He is about 7-8′ high.
